Vintage Sister Wine Bar ("Vintage Sister," "we," "us") runs the website vintagesisterwinebar.com. This page explains what information the website collects, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you join our list or send us a message through the signup form on our home page or our Stay Connected page, we collect:
- Your first and last name
- Your email address
- Your mobile number, if you choose to provide it
- Any message you choose to include
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you request, and the date and time. We use these only to keep the site running and secure.
Analytics and cookies. We use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google, to understand how visitors find and use our website. Google Analytics uses first-party cookies and similar technologies to collect information such as pages viewed, links clicked (for example, directions, email, and social media links), approximate location, device and browser type, and how you arrived at our site. This information is used in aggregate to improve the website. We do not use Google Analytics to identify you personally.
Advertising and the Meta Pixel. We run, or may run, ads on Facebook and Instagram, and our website uses the Meta Pixel, a tool provided by Meta Platforms, Inc., to measure how well those ads work and to reach people who may be interested in Vintage Sister. The Meta Pixel uses cookies and similar technologies to collect information such as the pages you view, the buttons you click, your device and browser type, your IP address, and whether you arrived from one of our ads. Meta receives this information and may use it under its own privacy policy, including to show you ads. We set up the Meta Pixel so that it does not receive your name, email address, or mobile number from our signup forms. You can limit Meta's use of this information through your Facebook ad preferences, by blocking cookies in your browser settings, or by using your browser's privacy controls.
You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, by blocking cookies in your browser settings, or by enabling your browser's "Do Not Track" or similar privacy controls. Learn more in how Google uses data from sites that use its services.
How we use your information
- To send you updates about new wines, upcoming events, our opening, and special offers
- To send you text messages, if you provided a mobile number and agreed to receive texts
- To reply to your messages and private event inquiries
- To operate, maintain, and protect our website
We do not sell or rent your personal information.
Text messages
If you enter your mobile number and check the text-message box on our signup form, you agree to receive recurring automated marketing text messages from Vintage Sister Wine Bar about events, openings, updates, and offers. If you do not check the box, we will not text you. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help. Providing your number and agreeing to texts is optional and is not a condition of any purchase.
We will not share your mobile number or texting consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes.
How we share information
We share your information only with service providers that help us run our website and communicate with you, and only so they can provide that service to us, plus Meta for advertising measurement as described above. These include:
- Formspree, which processes our website forms and delivers your submission to us by email
- GoDaddy, which hosts our website
- Google, which provides Google Analytics to measure website traffic and usage
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram), which provides the Meta Pixel to measure and improve our advertising
- Any email or text messaging service we use to send you updates
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, our guests, or the public.
Third-party content and links
Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts and a background image from Unsplash. When your browser loads these, those companies receive basic technical information such as your IP address, under their own privacy policies.
Our site links to Facebook, Instagram, and Google Maps. When you follow those links, their privacy policies apply, not ours.
Your choices
- Email: use the unsubscribe link in any email we send, use our unsubscribe form, or contact us.
- Text messages: reply STOP to any text, or use our unsubscribe form.
- Advertising: adjust your Facebook ad preferences, block cookies in your browser, or use your browser's privacy controls to limit the Meta Pixel.
- Your information: email us to ask what information we have about you, to correct it, or to delete it.
How long we keep information
We keep your contact information while you remain on our list or as long as needed to respond to you. When you ask us to remove it, we will delete it unless we are required to keep it by law. We also keep a record of your signup and consent (the date, the wording you agreed to, and your contact details) so we can show that you opted in. If you opt out, we keep only what we need to honor your request.
Security
Our website is served over a secure, encrypted connection (HTTPS), and we take reasonable steps to protect the information you share with us. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however.
Age
Vintage Sister is a wine bar, and our website and mailing list are intended for adults of legal drinking age (21 and over), and you must confirm you are 21 or older to join our list. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 21. If you believe someone under 21 has given us their information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our website changes. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and update the date at the top.
